So what is this escrow system that MyBeerCollectibles has available?
It is suggested that new sellers utilize escrow payment system until they obtain positive feedback of 10. Buyers can also request escrow payments for high-dollar items.
The escrow system is another form of user protection.
1. Buyer submits payment to the admin through the website payment link (Paypal) to mbcescrow@gmail.com. The 'make payment' link will automatically route to this escrow email. The seller email remains visible in the site invoice. As this method is a regular PayPal payment the normal PayPal charges apply to the payment. Obviously, if another form of payment is utilized then the ~3% PayPal fee would not apply.
Alternative payment options are acceptable including but not limited to Venmo (@mybeercollectibles-LLC), bank transfer, and so on.
2. When payment is received by admin, a support ticket is generated and sent to buyer and seller with some basic instructions.
3. Seller informs buyer of tracking information
4. Package is delivered. Buyer is expected to respond to the support ticket with confirmation of receipt. If buyer does not respond within 24 hours then payment is automatically released to seller.
5. Payment is released to the seller by gift PayPal payment, Venmo, bank transfer, or alternate payment method of choice by seller.
Please note that MBC offers this service to users on the website. Generally, this is free of charge for new sellers to establish a successful history. Established sellers or high-dollar transactions may be charged a 1.5% administration fee on the total transaction dollar amount. This covers the related accountancy with payments as well as the extra resources required for payment transfers and communication.
**3/19/20** As of 1/1/20 Paypal no longer refunds fees associated with goods and services transactions. Admins must pass on these associated fees to the user in the event of a refund.
